<title>Lovely LIMOGES Cheese or Butter Dish</title>
<link>http://pages.tias.com/13338/PictPage/3923660095.html</link>
<description>For sale is a butter cheese keeper made by Limoges in France and dating to approximately 1910. I have called it a butter cheese dish because I am not exactly sure what one it is actually for. The keeper is rather large, larger than any other butter dish I have seen so maybe it is a cheese keeper. The 2 part set stands together approximately 5 1 2 inches tall from base of under tray to top of handle . The diameter of the under tray is approximately 9 1 2 inches and the base of the dome has a diameter of approximately 6 3 4 inches. Both under tray and dome have a pattern of roses intertwined with vines. The dish is really quite nice. The bottom of the undertray is marked. Both the dome and undertray are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is however a factory flaw on the underside lip of the dome SEE PHOTO . The flaw looks like it might be a chip BUT IS NOT. The area in question has its original factory glazing over it. Shipping with insurance will be 17.00 in the Continental USA. </description>
