Each old molded glass image of a pharaoh or king measures 15mm high, just under 11mm wide, and is about 5mm thick. They are made of opaque lapis glass with applied bright lime green paint or enamel and have flat backs and flat, beveled lower edges. The distinctive design prototype, by the renowned firm of H Stern, is a half-dome of gold with numerous faceted gems, individually set in high bezel mountings. These earrings are a little over 1 quot; in diameter noticeably larger than most in the style and each incorporates 19 fully faceted gems, 5mm in width. The stones appear to include: pink topaz, several varieties of garnet, peridot, citrine, amethyst, aquamarine, topaz, smoky quartz, green spodumene, and citrine. It s difficult to identify all the stones with certainty due to the depth of the settings and the amount of gold around them-but all are transparent and well cut.
